Ermin systems seeks a seasoned Linux and IT Administrator to support our Engineering Services and Product Development teams across all regions. This role involves maintaining and enhancing Linux environments, managing on-prem and cloud-based VM setups, and overseeing IT and network configurations. The successful candidate will interface with both internal staff and external IT service providers to streamline our operations and drive efficiency improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, update, and maintain RHEL or CentOS servers across physical and virtualized environments.
- Manage third-party license manager servers like Flexlm and monitor directory access across all server setups.
- Develop automation processes to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
- Conduct regular system backups and generate comprehensive reports on software and hardware health.
- Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities, manage DMZs, and maintain robust network security measures.
Requirements: Must-haves:
- Proven expertise in managing RHEL (Linux) OS environments and proficiency in Bash scripting.
- Experience in setting up and managing virtualised environments using VMware, Proxmox VE, Microsoft Hyper-V, or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of IP networking, including configuration and management of switches, routers, NATs, firewalls, VPNs, and Wi-Fi access points.
- Capable of managing LAN and IP connectivity, secure data transfer protocols, and firewall configurations.
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks, particularly in Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
- Demonstrable experience with Ansible for IT process automation and Jenkins for software build processes.
Desirable:
- Experience in a DevOps environment and familiarity with EDA tools.
- Knowledge of cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, OpenShift, Google GCP).
- Experience with support ticketing systems and proficiency in a second European language.
Education and Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Linux administrator, particularly in a VM and server deployment management role.
- 2-3 years of experience with EDA software tools is preferred.
